Yesterday, we talked about a believed contradiction in the Gospels. You can read about it HERE. After reading my post, my wonderful fiancee asked if I had any more Scriptural proof for my stance on the subject. I told her I’d look it up and see see what I could find. I found some!
In Luke 23:46, it says:
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, “Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit:” and having said thus, He gave up the ghost.
This tells us right there that Christ gave up His spirit to God when He died. So, we know that Jesus was with God right after His death, thus we can say He was in Paradise with the thief from the neighboring cross. So, we can say that Christ most definitely gave His spirit to God the very same day He promised to be with God with the thief, thus eliminating the idea of a contradiction!
